It’s been a long winter and we think you deserve to treat yourself to a March getaway. Take advantage of the longer daylight hours, the calmer restaurants and beaches, and the cheeriness of spring in the air. Ogunquit is always the place to be, but we’ve got some ideas for you to make the most of your spring stay.
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day on March 17 at Jonathan’s or Maine Street
Ogunquit knows how to celebrate and St. Patrick’s Day is no exception. Jonathan’s–with Irish food specials and a DJ–and Maine Street –featuring DJ Jodi and Drag Karaoke with Chartreuse–will be a party. We reopen on March 17th, so join us opening weekend to participate in the festivities (and don’t forget to pack that green sweater!)
Enjoy the sweet life during Maine Maple Weekend March 25 & 26
Come stay for the weekend and enjoy one of our state’s most delicious staples–Maine Maple Syrup. Happening every year on the fourth weekend of March, there’s so much to do to satisfy that sweet tooth. Some are just a quick 30-minute drive from The Admiral’s Inn such as Maple Moon Farm and BrookRidge Boilers. A complete list of participating farms and businesses can be found here (https://mainemapleproducers.com/events/maine-maple-weekend/#!directory/map).
Take a relaxing walk along Marginal Way
Enjoy the breath-taking views of the Atlantic Ocean along this lovely seaside walk. We are a short 5 minute stroll to this fabulous mile long coastal walk that connects Ogunquit Village to Perkins Cove. Grab a morning coffee in our lobby and get out in the sun!
Enjoy a memorable meal at Old Village Inn, BeachFire Bar & Grille or The Crooked Pine
Avoid summer crowds and dine peacefully this spring. We especially love The Crooked Pine for its ‘Rosé All Day’ Fridays where they offer 50% off rosé and their ‘Champagne Campaign’ offering 50% off champagne and sparkling wine on Sundays. Click here (https://www.ogunquit.org/whats-open/) to see the full list of restaurants open in Ogunquit this March.
Check out one of the new breweries nearby – like Brickyard Craft Brewery or Batson River Brewing & Distilling
Maine is home to so much amazing craft beer and now we have two brand new breweries within a 10 minute drive of the hotel.. Grab a yummy snack and taste test a flight of delicious local beer to find your new favorite. We love Brickyard’s Cornbread, Mac n’ cheese and jalapeño pizza paired with their refreshing Golden Ale, and Batson River’s Bavarian Pretzel served with mustard and beer cheese and washed down with a crisp Local Lager.
Celebrate Love in Ogunquit
We love love here at The Admiral’s Inn and we have the perfect package to aid you and your special someone in a celebration. Select our Celebrate Love in Ogunquit package when booking your reservation of 2 or more nights and receive complimentary chilled sparkling wine, a gorgeous bouquet of roses, and gourmet chocolates on arrival. This offer is only available in March & April so don’t miss out!
Stroll along the beach (and don’t forget beaches are open for dogs until March 31)
Take a casual stroll on Ogunquit Beach or bring your pups and let them run wild and free through the end of March. Luckily, The Admiral’s has several dedicated dog-friendly rooms and a Pampered Pets Package just for you going on through March where we provide complimentary dog treats and wave the usual $35/night pet fee. Just a quick 11 minute walk from our doors, this beach is an easy spot to explore and listen to the calming sound of the waves crashing on the shore.
Make the most of the on-site sauna
Workout at our full on-site gym and then hit the sauna to let relax those muscles or warm up after a brisk spring beach walk. Either way, take advantage of this amenity and let yourself recharge.
Take in nature and hike Mt. Agamenticus
Choose from shorter easier loops or challenge yourself with a hike up to the peak for gorgeous views of the landscape below. Get out in nature and breath in that fresh Maine air. This is also a great activity to do with your dog!
Shop up a storm at the Kittery outlets
These outlets are just a short 20 minute drive from The Admiral’s so you can make a fabulous day of treating yourself. They have all the hottest shops from Adidas to Coach to Levi’s and so much more.
Enjoy live music at Crew or The Front Porch
The music scene is alive and well in Ogunquit year round and there’s always a show to catch. Check out the local talent at some of our favorite spots–every Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Crew and throughout the week and weekends at The Front Porch in their upstairs sing-a-long piano bar.
