Day 1

3.00pm Arrive & check-in

 

Check-in is in the lobby of our White Rose building. We’ve put up a brand new plexi-glass window over the front desk to keep you and our team safe as you check-in.

3.30pm Drop your bags and jump in the pool!

Choose from the family-friendly pool in the middle of the property or the quieter White Rose pool which is open for guests 16 and over.

5.00pm Head over to Marginal Way

Marginal Way is a beloved mile-long coastal walk connecting Ogunquit to Perkins Cove. Make sure to take your time along this incredible stroll, each turn provides another stunning view across the Atlantic Ocean.

6.00pm Grab some seafood in Perkins Cove

Many restaurants and shops have re-opened in this quaint coastal town so you’ll have your pick of places for dinner. If it’s your first time visiting, we recommend Barnacle Billy’s, an iconic seafood restaurant known for their lobster rolls and their famous rum punch.

8.00pm Wander back to the hotel

Ogunquit is a great walking town and it’s easy to get around. Wander back via Marginal Way to head back to the hotel and hang out around the fire pit or stop in town for some of the Maine coast’s best nightlife.

Day 2

8.00am Wake up and hike!

Mount Agamenticus is just a 15 minute drive from the hotel and it’s a great place to get in some early morning exercise. Opt for one of the more difficult trails starting near the base or drive up to the top and get straight to the sights while walking around the Big A, a one mile winding nature path at the summit of the mountain.

9.30am Time to grab breakfast

Amore Breakfast, a local gem, is located right on The Admiral’s Inn property. Order directly from their new take-out window and then grab a seat on the patio where they’ve recently added more tables, awnings and umbrellas. Their new take out menu still includes many of their classics – like lobster benedict, egg sandwiches, chocolate chip pancakes and bacon waffles.

10.30am Walk to the beach

Ogunquit Beach is just a 12 minute walk from The Admiral’s Inn so there’s no need to get in the car! The beach spans across 3.5 miles and has a number of different spots whether you want to swim, surf, float, walk or just sunbathe.

12.30pm Enjoy some lunch in town

Most restaurants have re-opened in town and plenty feature take-out options or outdoor seating. Grab an acai bowl from Loveshack Juicery or a specialty grilled cheese from The Beach Basket.

1.30pm Head back to the hotel

2.30pm Time for some more fun outdoors

Spend more time at one of the on-site pools at the hotel or return to Perkins Cove and spend a few hours onboard a scenic cruise with FinestKind!

5.00pm Grab a drink outside

Continue soaking up the ocean views and treat yourself to a cold beverage after a day of exploring. We love sitting on the outdoor tables at Oarweed in Perkins Cove and sipping on a local beer.

6.30pm Decide where to eat for dinner

Stay in Perkins Cove for a meal or walk back into Ogunquit for the evening. If you’re after something casual and delicious, stop by Banditos Mexican Grill for dishes made with homemade tortillas and enjoy one (or two!) specialty margaritas.

8.00pm Don’t forget the ice cream

Sweet Pea’s Ice Cream in town has all the classics, as well as delicious specialty flavors like Blueberry Pie, Maine Black Bear and S’mores.

Day 3

8.00am Go to The Greenery Cafe for breakfast

 

Just a short drive from The Admiral’s Inn, or a 15 minute walk, is The Greenery Cafe. Start your day with one of their classics like Crab Saratoga: fluffy scrambled eggs mixed with cream cheese, scallions and fresh Jonah crabmeat, topped with an over easy egg and hollandaise and served with potatoes & toast.

 

10.00am Relax with a massage or spend time at the gym

On-site at The Admiral’s Inn we have a full gym and a licensed massage therapist offering relaxation massages, deep tissue massages and more. The gym is located on the lower floor of the White Rose building and is open daily. Michelle Low offers her services on the first floor of the White Rose building and is open Tuesday through Saturday by advance appointment. Check availability here.

 

12.00pm Head up to Kennebunkport for lunch

 

There are quite a few other small beachside towns to visit from Ogunquit, all within a quick drive from The Admiral’s Inn. Kennebunkport is about half an hour drive north and is a lovely place to spend a few hours walking along beaches, visiting local boutiques and enjoying locally made ice cream.

 

3.00pm Get back to the water

Spend the afternoon back at Ogunquit Beach splashing through the waves or swing past Liquid Dreams Surf Shop to rent a kayak, surfboard or stand up paddleboard for the afternoon.

 

6.00pm Walk over to Jonathan’s for dinner

Walk five minutes from The Admiral’s Inn and you’ll come across Jonathan’s. Serving farm to table food and featuring fresh New England products whenever possible, Jonathan’s has long been a staple in Ogunquit.

 

Day 4

8.00am Order coffee & breakfast treats

Stop by Backyard on your way to the beach and grab some breakfast goods. We love their iced coffee and their incredible cinnamon doughnut muffins.

8.30am Walk along Ogunquit Beach

The beaches are still not too crowded in the mornings and it’s so refreshing to walk alongside the waves. If the weather’s warming up you can always start your day with a dip in the ocean!

9.30am One last swim in the pool

Check-out is at 11am so you have time for one more swim! Or if you’re heading back to the beach, give us a call at the front desk and see if you can check-out but leave your car for a few extra hours so you don’t have to worry about the parking headache in town!
