If you’re a fan of classical music, we wholeheartedly invite you to be our guest at the Admiral’s Inn for this year’s edition of the Chamber Music Festival here in Ogunquit!
Presented by Ogunquit Performing Arts, the festival, now in its 23rd year, brings world-class musicians and timeless compositions to the Beautiful Place by the Sea. It’s one of many highpoints of our summertime arts-and-culture calendar.
The Cascabel Trio Takes the Stage at the Dunaway Center
On June 16, the Festival brings the renowned Cascabel Trio to the Dunaway Center for a rich evening program you won’t want to miss. On tap are three exquisite pieces: Jean Baptiste Loeillet’s Trio Sonata; Antonin Dvorak’s Piano Trio in G Minor, Opus 15; and Bedrich Smetana’s Piano Trio No. 3 in F Minor, Opus 65. We’re talking about a trio of trios for the night’s entertainment, in other words.
The Boston-based Cascabel Trio—named, we’ll note, for a chili pepper—is made up of three very distinguished performers: pianist Janice Weber, violinist Piotr Buczek, and cellist Timothy Roberts (whose Gabrielli cello was made in Florence in 1751). This caliber of musicians is part of the magic of the Chamber Music Festival and a tribute to the high standards of the Ogunquit Performing Arts organization.
The concert begins at 8 PM. Tickets are $18 in advance or $20 at the door; students pay only $5.
An Evening Out in Ogunquit
We’d love to host you as you enjoy some lovely compositions brought to life by three exceptional musicians at the Dunaway Center. The venue is but a five minutes’ stroll from our doorstep here at the Admiral’s Inn, and your walk there and back through the warm Ogunquit evening will be part of the pleasure.
Might we recommend dinner at the OGT Coastal Kitchen and Oyster Bar, conveniently located right here at the inn, to launch your night of high culture? You can choose between indoor seating or some alfresco delights at the outdoor cabana bar.
