Ogunquit, ME

Where to vacation with your family this summer

Summer has arrived and Ogunquit is the perfect spot for a family vacation in Maine!

We’ve got everything you need at our Ogunquit hotel for lots of family together time to create lasting memories, from our two on-site pools and hot tubs, our close proximity to the beach & town and our caring, welcoming team.

We want to assure you we are committed to the highest standards of personalized service, safety and cleanliness at The Admiral’s Inn and are following the recommended protocols set by national, state and regional agencies (including CDC, American Hotel & Lodging Association, Hospitality Maine and the State of Maine).

Here are our top tips on how to make the most of your family vacation in Ogunquit, Maine:

Pick the perfect spot

The Admiral’s Inn is centrally located, making it a very accessible vantage point from which to explore all that beautiful Ogunquit has to offer. We are 500 yards from the center of town and a leisurely 12 minute walk to Ogunquit Beach. Our prime location provides plenty of opportunities for you and your family to spend time outdoors.

Splash around in the family friendly pool

Here at The Admiral’s Inn, we offer a ton of resort-style amenities including two on-site pools and hot tubs. Our larger family-friendly pool is located in the middle of the property and our more intimate adults only pool is located behind the White Rose Building. Guest rooms in our Terraces building and the Carriage House are all only steps from the family-friendly pool which means you don’t have far to go when naptime comes around!

Spend the day by the seashore

Ogunquit Beach is one of New England’s most beautiful – and most family friendly – beaches and it’s just a 12 minute walk from The Admiral’s Inn. Spend the day splashing around on the sand bars, building sandcastles and soaking in the fresh ocean air.

Walk along the water

Marginal Way is one of the highlights of Ogunquit, a coastal walk just over a mile long between Ogunquit’s Main Street and Perkins Cove. There are 39 benches along the scenic coastal walk and little climbing making it an ideal place for an afternoon stroll.

Take advantage of delicious dining options

Starting on June 1, Ogunquit began allowing restaurants to have more outdoor seating which means you can enjoy a lovely alfresco meal (or two!) at a locally owned business during your visit. Many restaurants are also offering curbside pick-up and we will have plenty of places set up on The Admiral’s Inn property for you to enjoy your meal should you wish to stay on-site.

The Ogunquit Chamber of Commerce has also put together a helpful guide outlining the local restaurants now open in Ogunquit for summer: Restaurant Guide

Relax & grab a drink with your partner

Don’t forget to take some time for you too! Relax in the adults-only jacuzzi, take advantage of the on-site full gym or book one of our accommodations with an outdoor sitting area (all rooms in the Terraces building & the Carriage House and select rooms in the White Rose building) and order in a cocktail from a local restaurant (our favorite is Barnacle Billy’s Rum Punch!) and enjoy the fresh ocean-side air in Ogunquit.

This idyllic beachside town is the perfect spot for you and your whole family this summer. Book your family vacation in Maine today!
